Phuong Ho, a 20-year-old college student at San Jose State University, was allegedly beaten by a police officer following the suspicion of an alleged assault.

Prior to the police beating, Ho was involved in an altercation with his roommate. Apparently, his roommate spilled soap on his steak, upon which Ho grabbed his steak knife. However, Ho insists he only picked up the knife to cut the steak.

The beating by police officers was caught on camera and the footage has now been released. Due to this, the two police officers are not currently on trial.
